Head of Product for The i Newspaper & New Scientist

Harmsworth Media / DMG Media

I started my career as a developer, eventually leading development teams before joining The Economist and discovering my passion for product. Currently I'm Head of Product looking after The i Newspaper and New Scientist. Previously, I've led product teams at brands like The Economist, CultureTrip, my own startup LoopDigital, fitness and wellbeing startup Stepathlon. Originally from The Netherlands!

  • Product vision and strategy, from inception to delivery
  • Evidence based product iteration
  • Team building, both product, product design and UX
  • Scaling product and technology organisations

I’m a big fan of Lenny’s and  Ben Thompson paid newsletters to keep abreast of product and the tech industry.

More recently I’ve started reading TLDR as well to get the latest on technology innovation.

I would recommend reading Measure what Matters, The Build Trap and Hooked as 3 key books to get into or better at product management.
