PartnerUp platform updates
We have recently developed our mentorship platform based on feedback from our mentors and mentees. Watch the video below to understand on all the key changes made to the PartnerUp platform.
Want to become a PartnerUp mentor?
Follow the steps below to become a PartnerUp Mentor.
Mentor application
Apply to be a product mentor using our short form. We aim to process all applications within 3 working days.
Setting a password and logging in
Once approved, you will need to reset your password and log in to view your mentor dashboard and profile, ensuring all details are correct.
Update your mentor profile
Once logged in, update your mentor profile. Ensure your bio, availabilty and job history are all up to date and correct. This will help mentees to assess your profile for mentorship compatibility.
Manage mentee requests
Manage all mentee requests in one place – your mentor dashboard. Here you can view, accept or decline requests and keep notes on all your mentorships.
What happens next?
1) Your mentor profile is now live on the website
Check out your profile on our Find A Mentor page. Remember to log in and change your profile, including your availability settings, if anything changes.
2) Responding to mentee requests
Mentee requests will be logged in your Dashboard and an email notification will be sent directly to your email address.
Please ensure you process all mentee requests within 3-5 working days..
3) If you agree mentorship
If you agree mentorship, set up a time for the initial meeting.
You should provide all the details for your first meeting in the scheduling took email when accepting a mentee. A field is provided especially for this. You can enter any information and links to calendars or platforms as you wish. These are passed to the mentee in their acceptance email.
To help with the first meeting, we have put together this document for the first meeting to cover all bases and agree how the mentorship will work. We also have guides to how mentees should be setting their SMART goals and provide a goal setting template to use if they wish.
4) What is the best way to structure a mentorship?
If you agree mentorship, we propose this is the best process for a mentorship:
1) Set up a time for the initial introduction meeting, using the scheduling tool email when accepting a mentee.
2) Hold the initial goal setting meeting, utilising the goal setting template and Setting SMART goals information
3) Set up regular mentorship meetings
5) If you are at capacity and can no longer take on mentorships
Please log into your account and update your availability to ‘unavailable’. This will change your status on your profile and remove the Mentee application form so mentees are aware that you are not currently taking on more applications.
When you are ready to take on more requests, you may log into your account and update your status back to ‘available’ or contact [email protected].
6) Use our resources
Review our mentor resources page to help deliver a good partnership, including:

10-step mentor checklist for meetings
Frequently asked questions
How do I access my account?
Login to your mentor account here. If you need to reset your password, you can do that on the mentor account page by pressing on the asterisk tab.
I have submitted a mentorship application but haven’t heard back yet. When will I be contacted?
We aim to get back to all mentorship applications within 2-3 working days. After 2-3 working days, you will receive an email from [email protected] confirming whether your application has been successful or not. Please check your inbox and junk mail folders.
If you have still not heard from us, please email [email protected] and we will look into this further for you.
I’m receiving too many mentorship requests. How do I stop this?
Simply login to your account. Head to your mentor dashboard and select ‘View / Update my profile’. Here you can update your availability status to unavailable.
Mentees will now see that you are unavailable for mentorship at this current time and will no longer be able to contact you.
I haven’t received any mentorship requests. Why is that?
There may be a few reasons why this is happening. Firstly, please check that your profile is live on the Partner Up website by searching the ‘Find a mentor‘ page. If you cannot find your profile here, it may be because:
– your application to become a Partner Up mentor was declined. Please check your emails notifications from us, including junk mail
– your mentor profile is not fully complete. We see that only fully complete and comprehensive mentor bios receive applications from mentees
– your mentor status is set to unavailable and needs to be set to available before any mentees can contact you
If you have completed all of the above steps and are still having issues, please email us at [email protected].
Do I get paid for providing mentorship?
The Partner Up mentorship scheme is free of charge, giving free access to product management mentorship to all levels of product people. The mentors signed up to our scheme do not receive payment.
I need to request additional support. Where can I request support?
If you have any questions or require additional support, please visit your dashboard and click on the Support button. Or contact us via [email protected].
